Position Overview
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to support its accounting operations. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial data, leading the close process, and supporting reporting and analysis in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain and analyze the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support inventory and cost accounting functions within a manufacturing environment
- Analyze financial results and provide insights to management
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Support internal and external audits
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or inventory-driven environment preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Technical Skills
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
- Experience with cost accounting systems preferred
